Featurebase Pricing & Review (2026): Seat Costs, Pros & Cons
Featurebase pricing starts with a Free plan for one seat, then charges per teammate seat on three paid plans. For a small team that mainly wants a voting board, a roadmap and a changelog, the real bill is seats times plan price, plus a few usage meters.
Featurebase has a Free plan for one seat and three paid plans priced per seat: Growth at $29, Professional at $59 and Enterprise at $99 per seat per month billed yearly ($37, $75 and $129 billed monthly). Paid plans can add usage fees, like $0.49 per Fibi AI resolution, and branding removal costs $69 a month on Professional and Enterprise.
Prices checked on featurebase.app/pricing on October 25, 2026.
Featurebase Pricing in 2026
Here are the plans as of October 2026. The last column covers only the feedback side.
| Plan | Billed yearly (per seat/month) | Billed monthly (per seat/month) | Lite seats | Boards / roadmaps | Feedback features it adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 (1 seat) | $0 (1 seat) | None | 1 / 1 | Public portal, voting, vote on behalf, feedback loop emails |
| Growth | $29 | $37 | None | 5 / 5 | Widget, custom domain, changelog page and Updates, surveys, integrations, API, revenue sync, AI duplicate hints |
| Professional | $59 | $75 | 20 | 10 / 10 | End-user SSO, AI deduplication, board privacy, moderation, custom fields, multilingual portal, branding removal ($69/mo) |
| Enterprise | $99 | $129 | 50 | Unlimited | AI tagging, prioritization module, custom roles, admin SSO (5-seat minimum) |
Every teammate who uses the admin dashboard needs a seat. You can buy as many as you like, and the plan sets the price of each one.
One plan covers Helpdesk, the Fibi AI Agent, Feedback, Outbound, Help Center and Reporting. There is no feedback-only plan, so a product manager's seat costs the same as a support agent's.
What Featurebase Costs by Team Size
Your Featurebase cost depends mostly on seats. This table prices it for a team that only runs a feedback board, a roadmap and a changelog, with Fibi off.
| Team | Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 person | Free | $0 | $0 (if 1 board, 1 roadmap, no widget and no custom domain are enough) |
| 1 person | Growth | $29/mo ($348/yr) | $37/mo ($444/yr) |
| 3 people | Growth | $87/mo ($1,044/yr) | $111/mo ($1,332/yr) |
| 5 people | Growth | $145/mo ($1,740/yr) | $185/mo ($2,220/yr) |
| 5 people | Professional + branding removal | $364/mo ($4,368/yr) | $444/mo ($5,328/yr) |
| 10 people | Growth | $290/mo ($3,480/yr) | $370/mo ($4,440/yr) |
List prices as of October 2026. Assumes Fibi is off, under 5,000 update emails and under 500 in-app survey views a month.
Over three years, three Growth seats cost $3,132 at the yearly list price, and each new seat adds to that. The startup program's six Professional seats cost $8,856 over three years, against $12,744 at the yearly list price.
Featurebase Usage Fees and Add-ons
Seats are only the base. The meters below come from the Featurebase pricing explained article, as of October 2026. Outbound email and message fees are billed monthly, even on yearly plans.
Fibi AI Resolutions
Fibi AI pricing is $0.49 per resolution on every paid plan. A resolution counts when, after Fibi's last answer, the customer says it helped or leaves without asking for more. Each chat is charged once at most.
Fibi is a support agent, so a feedback-only team can leave it off and pay nothing for it. To stop charges, the Fibi resolutions article says to remove Fibi from live workflows and pause it.
Changelog and Outbound Email Fees
Each workspace gets 5,000 free Outbound Emails a month, and changelog Updates emails count toward them. One email to one subscriber counts once. Status update emails and support emails are free.
| Outbound emails per month | Price per email |
|---|---|
| 1 to 5,000 | Free |
| 5,001 to 10,000 | $0.003 |
| 10,001 to 50,000 | $0.0025 |
| 50,001 to 100,000 | $0.002 |
| 100,001 to 500,000 | $0.0016 |
| Over 500,000 | $0.001 |
Worked example: 20,000 update emails in a month cost $40. The first 5,000 are free, the next 5,000 cost $15 and the last 10,000 cost $25. Tiers are from the usage-based channels pricing article.
In-App Survey Fees
Surveys and product tours share 500 free Outbound Messages a month. A survey counts once per user who sees it, and again only if it is sent again after an answer.
Anonymous visitors count. Previews, teammate views and Help Center surveys do not.
| Outbound messages per month | Price per message |
|---|---|
| 1 to 500 | Free |
| 501 to 1,000 | $0.04 |
| 1,001 to 2,000 | $0.025 |
| 2,001 to 10,000 | $0.014 |
| 10,001 to 50,000 | $0.010 |
| Over 50,000 | $0.007 down to $0.0045 |
Worked example: an NPS popup shown to 3,000 users in a month costs $59. That is $0 for the first 500, $20 for the next 500, $25 for the next 1,000 and $14 for the last 1,000. A hard cap in the billing settings stops message charges for the month.
Copilot, Translations and Branding Removal
- Copilot: 10 free chats per teammate a month, then $19 per agent a month for unlimited use. It is a helpdesk tool, so most feedback teams can skip it.
- AI translations: 250,000 characters a month free, then $0.04 per 1,000. They matter for the multilingual portal on Professional and up.
- Branding removal: $69 a month, on Professional and Enterprise only. It removes the vendor credit from the portal, help centers, widgets and emails, per the branding removal article.
Featurebase Free Plan: What You Get and Where It Stops
The Featurebase free plan has no time limit. As of October 2026, it includes:
- 1 full seat and no Lite seats
- Unlimited end users, posts and comments
- 1 feedback board and 1 roadmap on a public portal
- Voting, vote on behalf and feedback loop emails
- A help center with up to 50 articles, plus the live chat inbox
The widget, a custom domain, custom statuses, surveys, integrations and the API all start on Growth. AI is not supported on Free.
The Featurebase changelog is less clear. The pricing explained article says Free suits "free live chat, feedback collection, and updates." Yet the compare table lists the public changelog page and Updates for Growth and up only. The two sources disagree, so check in a Free workspace before you count on a free changelog.
Who Needs a Paid Seat in Featurebase
The seat rules cut the bill more than most buyers expect. Per the seats help article, as of October 2026:
- Full seats go to teammates who manage feedback: changing statuses, merging posts, editing boards, building surveys and publishing updates.
- End users never need a seat.
- Teammates who only use an integration, such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack or Linear, need no seat.
- Any teammate can post feedback on their own behalf for free.
- Lite seats are free on Professional (20) and Enterprise (50). They can view all feedback and post or vote for customers, but can't change statuses or merge posts.
Billing matters if your team changes size. On monthly billing, seat changes are prorated. On yearly billing, removing a teammate gives no credit, and the seat stays paid until renewal.
Featurebase Discounts and the Startup Program
The Featurebase startup program puts eligible teams on Professional with 6 full seats and 20 Lite seats. The list price is $450 a month (6 seats at $75).
| Year | Discount | Monthly price |
|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | 86% | $63 |
| Year 2 | 40% | $270 |
| Year 3 | 10% | $405 |
| Year 4 on | None | Full list price |
The pricing page promises a year of free Fibi. The help article puts that at 50 free resolutions a month in year one, with extra ones at $0.49. To qualify, as of October 2026, a company must:
- Be founded less than 2 years ago
- Have fewer than 6 employees and have raised less than $3M
- Never have been on a paid plan
- Apply within 90 days of sign-up, for at most 6 seats
The program bills monthly, and you can't add or remove seats in it. Leaving it ends the discount for good, and you can't rejoin.
Other discounts are smaller. Open-source projects and non-profits get 15% off on request.
Yearly billing is called a 20% discount; on Growth, $29 against $37 is about 22%. No public coupon or discount code appears on the vendor's own pricing page or help articles.
What Is Featurebase?
Featurebase calls itself a support and product suite, built in the EU. It pairs a helpdesk, live chat, the Fibi AI agent and a help center with feedback boards, a roadmap, a changelog and surveys.
It runs its own public changelog and feedback portal, which shows what end users see. Its pricing FAQ lists SOC 2 Type II and GDPR, with data hosted in the Netherlands and Germany.
You can bring old feedback with you. The FAQ lists migration from Canny, Productboard, Frill and Beamer, plus CSV import. One naming note: FeatureBase, an unrelated open-source database company, shares the name, so treat directory figures with care.
Which Featurebase Plan Does a Feedback Team Need?
This table pulls the feedback limits out of the long compare table on the pricing page, as of October 2026.
| Feature | Free | Growth | Professional | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Feedback boards / roadmaps | 1 / 1 | 5 / 5 | 10 / 10 | Unlimited |
| In-app widget | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Custom domain | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Public changelog page | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Surveys (NPS, CSAT and more) | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |

| Prioritization module | No | No | No | Yes |
| Admin SSO (SAML/OIDC) | No | No | No | Yes (5-seat minimum) |
For most small feedback teams, Growth is the plan. It adds the Featurebase widget, a custom domain, the changelog page, surveys and integrations. Professional earns its price when you need private boards, moderation, custom fields or SSO for your users.
How These Tools Were Compared
Featurebase prices and limits were checked on October 25, 2026 on its pricing page and compare table. They were cross-checked with its help articles on pricing, seats, usage fees, branding and the startup program.
Canny and Fider figures come from their own pricing pages on the same day. No accounts were made and no trials were run. Every claim in this Featurebase review comes from public pages, and where two Featurebase pages disagree, both are cited.
Featurebase Pros
- A Free plan with a public portal, voting and feedback loop emails, with no time limit.
- No per-end-user pricing: posts, comments and end users are unlimited on every plan. Only survey views over 500 and emails over 5,000 a month are metered.
- Kind seat rules: own-behalf feedback and integration-only users are free, and Lite seats come with Professional and Enterprise.
- Feedback, roadmap, changelog, surveys and a helpdesk in one plan, with the Featurebase API, MCP and webhooks from Growth.
- A 10-day trial of paid plans with no card, plus SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and EU hosting.
- A deep startup discount if you qualify.
Featurebase Cons
- Cost grows with every teammate, and monthly billing costs about 28% more than yearly ($37 against $29 on Growth).
- Several meters sit on top of seats, so the bill is harder to predict.
- Key feedback features sit behind upgrades, and the lower plans cap boards at 1, 5 and 10. The widget needs Growth, moderation needs Professional and prioritization needs Enterprise.
- Branding removal is $69 a month extra, on Professional and up only.
- Admin SSO is Enterprise only with a 5-seat minimum, so at least $495 a month billed yearly.
- There is no feedback-only plan. A feedback seat costs the same as a helpdesk seat.
- Startup pricing steps up fast ($63, then $270, then $405 a month), and leaving the program ends it.
User reviews are collected on Featurebase's G2 page if you want other buyers' views.
Who Featurebase Is Best For
Featurebase fits teams that want support and feedback in one tool. It also suits teams that need Linear, Jira, Slack or HubSpot sync, SSO for end users, or feedback weighted by revenue. Startups that qualify get a strong first year.
Look elsewhere if you only want a feedback board and will never use the helpdesk or AI. You would still pay a full suite price per seat. Teams that add and drop people often should also budget with care.
Featurebase Alternatives Worth Considering
Each option below charges in a different way. Prices are from each vendor's pricing page, as of October 2026.
| Tool | How it charges | Entry price | Roadmap and changelog |
|---|---|---|---|
| Featurebase | Per teammate seat, plus usage meters | Free for 1 seat; Growth $29 per seat/month billed yearly | Roadmap on all plans; changelog page from Growth |
| Canny | By tracked users, with manager caps | Free for 25 tracked users; Pro from $79/month billed yearly | Yes |
| Fider | Flat hosted plans; free to self-host | Free (250-item fair use); Pro $25/month | Not listed |
| Tiny Team Feedback | One-time purchase per organization | One-time payment per module; see current prices | Yes |
1. Canny: Best for AI Feedback Capture and Deep Integrations
Canny is a feedback board, roadmap and changelog tool. Its Autopilot AI pulls feedback from support and sales chats and merges duplicates. Canny prices by tracked users, meaning anyone who posts, votes or comments, and it caps admin managers per plan.
On canny.io/pricing, as of October 2026, Free is $0 for 25 tracked users and 5 managers. Pro starts at $79 a month billed yearly for 100+ tracked users and 10 managers, and Business is custom. Without a spend limit, Canny moves you up a tier when you pass your tracked-user limit.
Best for: teams that want AI feedback capture and project or CRM integrations, with few customers giving feedback but several admins.
2. Fider: Best for a Simple Free Voting Board
Fider is an open-source voting and discussion board under the AGPL-3.0 license. You can self-host it, which means running the server, updates and backups yourself.
On fider.io/pricing, as of October 2026, the hosted Free plan has a fair-use limit of 250 feedback items. Pro costs $25 a month, billed month to month, and adds content moderation, unlimited feedback items and SEO indexing. Fider's site doesn't list a roadmap view, a changelog or a widget.
Best for: teams that want a plain voting board at little or no cost, or that prefer to host their own.
3. Tiny Team Feedback: Best for Paying Once Instead of Per Seat
Tiny Team's Feedback module covers feedback boards, a roadmap, a changelog and surveys for small teams. It is a one-time purchase per organization with lifetime access to the module. There is no subscription and no per-seat or per-voter fee, and its free trial needs no credit card.
- Boards and voting: private or public boards; customers post, vote and comment after verifying their email, with no password.
- Roadmap and statuses: 1 to 20 statuses per board, a drag-and-drop roadmap and a read-only public roadmap. Voters get an email when a status changes.
- Changelog: entries with images, New, Improved and Fixed categories, drafts and scheduling. Publishing can mark linked requests done and email subscribers.
- Surveys: NPS, CSAT, customer effort, product-market fit and six other question types, as a portal link or a website popup.
- Portal and widget: a branded portal on your own subdomain with HTTPS, plus one script for board, roadmap and changelog embeds.
Where it falls short: it has no AI of any kind, so duplicates are merged by hand. It has no integrations with Jira, Linear, Slack, Intercom, HubSpot or Zapier, and no webhooks or public API.
There is no SSO, no revenue or segment weighting, and no CSV import or export, so Featurebase data can't be moved in. It also lacks tags, custom fields, a moderation queue, a multi-language portal and mobile apps, and it is not a helpdesk.
Best for: a small team that only needs boards, a roadmap, a changelog, surveys and a branded portal, without a per-seat plan. Compare its one-time price with the per-seat totals above. If you need integrations, SSO, AI or a helpdesk in the same tool, Featurebase is the better buy.
See current prices, or create a free workspace and start the Feedback trial from Modules & Billing when you're ready.
The Bottom Line on Featurebase Pricing
Featurebase is good value when you use both halves: the helpdesk and the feedback tools. A small product team on Growth pays $29 to $37 per seat a month and gets the widget, a custom domain, the changelog and integrations.
The bill climbs with each seat, each upgrade for privacy or moderation, and each meter you turn on. Price your real team in the table above, keep Fibi off unless you run support there, and apply for the startup program if you qualify.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Featurebase free to use?
Yes, for one seat: Free includes 1 board, 1 roadmap and a public portal, but no AI, widget or custom domain. The compare table lists the public changelog page from Growth up. Paid plans have a 10-day trial with no credit card.
Did Featurebase raise its prices?
Featurebase moved to seat-based plans in December 2025. Customers who subscribed before December 4, 2025 can stay on legacy pricing, per its pricing update article. For Fibi, guides from early 2026 such as Worknotes (March 2026) quoted $0.29 per resolution; Featurebase's own pages list $0.49 as of October 2026 and don't date the change.
Is there a Featurebase discount code?
No public codes appear on Featurebase's own pages as of October 2026. The official routes are the startup program (86% off in year one), 15% off for open-source projects and non-profits, and yearly billing.
Does Featurebase have a pricing calculator?
The pricing page has a "Cut costs with Featurebase" slider for teams of 1 to 20. It estimates savings against rival tools using Featurebase's own figures. The team-size table above shows plain list prices instead.
Is Featurebase cheaper than Canny?
In a Featurebase vs Canny price check, it depends on what grows: Featurebase charges per teammate seat, while Canny prices by tracked users and caps admin managers. As of October 2026, three Growth seats cost $87 a month billed yearly, and Canny Pro starts at $79 a month billed yearly for 100+ tracked users. Seat pricing tends to win when many customers vote but few teammates manage feedback.
