The rules for using Tiny Team: your free workspace, 30-day module trials, one-time lifetime purchases through Polar, refunds, fair use and acceptable use.

On this page · 26 sections

These Terms are the rules for using Tiny Team and our website, and the terms of the lifetime access your organization gets when it buys a module. We have kept them as short and plain as we could. If you are a consumer, nothing in them takes away the rights the law gives you.

The short version

  • A free workspace, with the modules you choose. Creating a Tiny Team workspace for your organization is free. You add modules, such as HR, Document Spaces and Links, one at a time.
  • 30 days free per module. An organization admin starts each module's trial. No card is needed and nothing is charged automatically. When a trial ends, the module locks and your data stays saved.
  • Pay once, keep it. Each module is a one-time purchase, sold through Polar, our reseller. Your whole organization then has lifetime access to that module, with no subscription and no per-seat fees, for as long as we provide Tiny Team and that module.
  • 60-day money-back guarantee. Email support@tinyteam.io within 60 days of buying and you get a full refund, no questions asked.
  • Your data is yours. For the information you keep about your people and job candidates, your organization is in charge, and we process it on its behalf.
  • Use it fairly and lawfully. Default usage allowances apply. No phishing, malware or deceptive short links, and no unlawful job posts. Report abuse to support@tinyteam.io.
  • Portuguese law applies, but as a consumer you keep the protection of the consumer laws of the country where you live.

Who we are

Tiny Team is run by Iaroslav Morgunov, a sole trader (empresário em nome individual) established in Portugal. "We", "us" and "our" in these Terms mean him.

  • Address: Rua Alfredo Keil 571, 4150-047 Porto, Portugal
  • NIF (tax number): 310038588
  • Support, refunds and content reports: support@tinyteam.io
  • Privacy requests: privacy@tinyteam.io
  • Phone: +351 924331054

What these Terms cover

These Terms apply when you use:

  • our website, www.tinyteam.io, including the blog and our free tools
  • the Tiny Team app at app.tinyteam.io: your organization's workspace, its shared tools and its modules
  • the public pages Tiny Team runs for our customers: careers pages and job posts, and short links on the shared short domain or on a customer's own domain

By creating a workspace, joining one or buying a module, you agree to these Terms. When you use our website, the parts of these Terms about the website apply. When your organization buys a module, these Terms are also the terms of its lifetime access. Some sections only matter if you use that part of Tiny Team.

Who "you" is. If you create a workspace or buy a module for an organization, you accept these Terms on its behalf, and "you" means that organization. You also agree to follow these Terms in your own use of Tiny Team. If you join a workspace as a member, these Terms apply to your own use of Tiny Team.

Applying for a job or opening a short link. If you apply for a job through a careers page, your application goes to the organization that posted the job, which decides how to use it. If you open a short link, the organization that created it chose where it leads. In both cases that organization is responsible for its content. You can report illegal content to us (see Reporting illegal content).

Consumers and business customers. Tiny Team is made for organizations: businesses, teams, associations and other groups. A consumer is someone who uses Tiny Team mainly for purposes outside their trade, business or profession. A business customer is anyone else. Where the rules differ, we say so.

Your workspace and accounts

Your workspace. Each workspace belongs to one organization. The person who creates it becomes its first admin. The workspace and its purchases belong to the organization, not to the person who created it.

Age and authority. To create a workspace or buy modules, you must be at least 18. If you do this for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these Terms on its behalf. Tiny Team isn't directed at children under 16, so please don't invite them as members.

Admins and members. Admins and HR Managers invite people by email, and admins give them roles, such as Administrator, HR Manager, Manager, Recruiter, Team Member or Link Manager. Roles decide most of what each member can see and do. Only admins can start trials and buy modules. Your organization is responsible for who it invites, which roles they get and how its members use Tiny Team.

What every member sees. In the Team directory, members can see each other's name, email address, phone numbers, date of birth, gender and nationality, where these have been filled in. If your organization uses HR, everyone can also see all time off in the team calendar, including the type of leave, the reason and any attachments, and people with the Manager role can see every member's bank details. Keep this in mind when you decide what to ask people to enter and which roles to give, and don't ask people to put health details in time-off reasons or attachments.

Keeping sign-in secure. You sign in with Google or with a single-use link we email you. Anyone who controls your email account can therefore sign in as you, so keep it secure, and sign out on computers you share. Tell us at once at support@tinyteam.io if you think someone has used an account without permission. Admins should deactivate the accounts of people who leave the organization.

Removing members. Admins and HR Managers can deactivate a member, which blocks their sign-in and keeps their data, and can then delete them. Deleting a member is permanent. It also deletes the records attached to them, such as their time off, reviews, files, timeline posts and the notes about them or written by them. The last admin of a workspace can't be removed. Members can't delete their own accounts; ask an admin of your organization, or write to us.

If you lose admin access. If no one in your organization can sign in as an admin anymore, write to us. We will ask for reasonable proof that you may act for the organization before we give admin access to anyone.

Modules, trials and lifetime access

Modules and the free workspace

Tiny Team is one workspace with separate modules. The modules we currently offer, and what each one does, are shown on our pricing page and in Modules & Billing in the app. Each module is tried and bought on its own. Buying one doesn't include any other, including modules we add later.

Creating a workspace is free, and so are the shared tools every workspace has: Team, My Profile, Inbox, Organization settings, Media Library, Modules & Billing and Organization → Limits. They keep working whether or not a module trial is running. We may change the free features, with reasonable notice.

Trials

  • One 30-day trial per module. Each organization gets one free trial of each module. It starts only when an admin activates it with Start 30-day trial, and it lasts 30 days from then. Starting one module's trial doesn't change another's.
  • No card, no automatic charge. A trial needs no payment details and never turns into a purchase by itself.
  • No restarts. A trial can't be restarted or extended once it has ended.
  • When a trial ends, the module locks. Your data in it stays saved, and admins can buy the module in Modules & Billing. While a module is locked, the public pages it provides stop working: for example, an HR careers page and its job links go offline. Images in Document Spaces pages still stay reachable at their web addresses until the page they are on is deleted.
  • Links is the exception. After a Links trial ends, short links that already exist keep redirecting, and clicks keep being counted, as long as we offer Links and the link and its domain are still active (not turned off, expired or in Trash). Creating and editing links and viewing analytics stay locked until you buy. Admins and Link Managers can still turn off existing links, and admins can disconnect domains.
  • If we stop offering a module, a trial of it that is still running ends early, and short links kept from an ended Links trial stop redirecting. Organizations that bought the module keep their lifetime access.

What lifetime access means

When your organization buys a module, it gets lifetime access to that module:

  • A one-time payment. No subscription, no renewal and no per-seat fees.
  • For your whole organization. Everyone in your workspace can use the module, according to the roles you give them.
  • For as long as we provide Tiny Team and that module. "Lifetime" refers to the life of the module and of Tiny Team, not to the lifetime of a person or an organization.
  • Updates included. Improvements we make to a module you have bought come at no extra cost, and we won't put features you have paid for behind a new payment.
  • Tied to your organization. A purchase belongs to the organization that made it and to that module. It can't be moved to another organization or workspace, except where the law allows.

What lifetime access doesn't mean

  • It doesn't include other modules, or modules we add later. Each has its own price and its own trial.
  • It doesn't mean unlimited use. The allowances in Usage allowances and fair use apply.
  • It isn't a promise that Tiny Team will always be available without interruption, or that its features will never change (see Changes to Tiny Team and to these Terms).
  • It can end: after a refund, if we suspend or end access as described in Suspending or ending access, or if we close the module or Tiny Team. Before we close a module or Tiny Team, we tell organization admins by email at least 90 days in advance, and we give your organization an export of its data if an admin asks for one before the closing date.

Complimentary access

We sometimes give an organization access to a module free of charge, shown as Complimentary access in Modules & Billing. It isn't a purchase and doesn't give lifetime access. The usual allowances apply, and it can end at any time.

Buying modules

Tiny Team modules are sold by Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"), 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, USA, as our reseller and merchant of record, through Polar's hosted checkout. This means:

  • Your purchase is from Polar. The contract for the sale and the payment is between your organization and Polar, under Polar's Buyer Terms.
  • Your access is from us. Your organization's right to use Tiny Team and the modules it buys comes from us, under these Terms.
TopicDetails
Who can buyOrganization admins, in Modules & Billing in the app. There is no checkout on our website.
PriceA one-time price for each module, in the currency shown on our pricing page and in Modules & Billing. No subscription and no recurring charges. The price that applies is the one shown at checkout, and a checkout you have already started keeps its price. If we change our prices, this only affects future purchases.
Several modules at onceYou can buy several modules in one payment if they are priced in the same currency. The total is the sum of their prices. You can add more modules later.
TaxPrices on our pricing page and in Modules & Billing are shown without VAT or sales tax, because Tiny Team is made for organizations. Polar adds the tax that applies where your organization is and shows you the full price, including tax, before you pay. If you are a consumer, that full price is the price you pay.
PaymentWith the payment methods shown at Polar's checkout. Polar handles your payment and sends your receipt; we never see your card details.
DeliveryThe module unlocks for your whole organization as soon as Polar confirms the payment to us. Returning from the checkout page alone doesn't unlock it. If a module hasn't unlocked after you paid, email us.
RequirementsA current web browser and an internet connection. Tiny Team is web only.

For a problem with the payment itself, such as a double charge, write to us or to Polar at support@polar.sh.

60-day money-back guarantee

If a module isn't right for your organization, you can get a full refund within 60 days of buying it, no questions asked.

How. Any admin of the organization that bought the module can email support@tinyteam.io within 60 days of the purchase. Write from the email address of the admin who paid, or tell us your organization's name and the order number, so we can find the purchase. Any clear message that you want your money back is enough. You can also ask Polar for the refund.

What you get back. Everything you paid for that purchase, including tax. The refund is processed through Polar and goes back to your original payment method. We issue it within 14 days of your request at the latest; how long it then takes to appear depends on your bank or card provider.

Combined checkouts. If you bought several modules in one payment, you can get a refund for all of them or only for some of them. Each purchase can be refunded once.

After the refund. Your organization's lifetime access to that module ends, and the module locks, as it does when a trial ends. For Links, this means existing short links keep redirecting only if your organization had started a Links trial before buying. Your data in the module stays saved unless you ask us to delete it.

Your right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU, the law gives you 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Our guarantee includes that right and extends it to 60 days. You can use it even after you have started using the module, and you never need to give a reason.

This guarantee is given by Iaroslav Morgunov (see Who we are), covers every module purchase, applies wherever your organization is and whether you are a consumer or a business customer, and comes in addition to your legal rights (see the next section), which it does not affect.

If something doesn't work

If you are a consumer, Tiny Team comes with the legal guarantee of conformity under EU and Portuguese law (Decreto-Lei 84/2021). In short, it must work as described and as you can reasonably expect from this kind of service.

If something doesn't, tell us at support@tinyteam.io. We will fix it free of charge. If we can't within a reasonable time, or the problem is serious, you can ask for a price reduction or end the contract and get your money back. Because Tiny Team is a service we provide continuously, this covers problems during the whole time we provide it to you.

These rights come on top of the 60-day guarantee, and nothing in these Terms limits them.

Usage allowances and fair use

There are no per-seat fees. Each organization has default allowances for storage and for some module features, and they are part of these Terms. Admins can see current usage in Organization → Limits.

ItemDefault
Media Library storage10 GB per organization, shared by the whole workspace. Originals, previews, items in Trash and uploads in progress count toward it.
Media Library filesImages (JPEG, PNG or WebP) up to 25 MB each. MP4 videos (H.264 with AAC audio) up to 500 MB and 10 minutes each.
Links: stored links1,000 per organization, including disabled links and links in Trash
Links: custom domains3 per organization, including domains still being set up. The shared short domain doesn't count.
Links: tracked clicks100,000 per organization per UTC calendar month
  • Reaching an allowance. You can't add more until you free up room or, for a monthly allowance, the next month starts. Items in Trash keep counting until they are removed for good, 30 days after you delete them. Nothing you already have is deleted.
  • Short links keep redirecting. When the monthly click allowance runs out, short links keep redirecting as normal. Only click tracking pauses, until the next UTC calendar month starts.
  • Other limits. Some features have their own technical limits, such as file sizes, which the app shows you.
  • Different allowances. We may raise the allowances for a particular organization, for example on request. We lower them only to stop abuse (see Suspending or ending access) or as described in the next point.
  • Changes. We may change the default allowances for future purchases. We lower the allowances of a module your organization has already bought only for a valid reason, with at least 30 days' notice by email to your admins, and never below what you need to keep using the data you already have. If you are a consumer, such a change gives you the rights described in Changes to Tiny Team.

Fair use. Use Tiny Team the way an organization normally would, for its own work. Please don't:

  • resell, rent or sublicense access to Tiny Team
  • use bots, scripts or other automated means to access Tiny Team, except through features we provide
  • put an unreasonable load on Tiny Team, or use it in a way that disrupts it for other customers

Your data and content

You own it. Everything your organization and its members put into Tiny Team, such as people records, documents, files, short links and job posts, belongs to your organization or to the people who created it. We claim no rights in it.

Our license to it. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, free license to host, store, copy, process and display your content, and to make it available to the people you choose, only to provide, secure and support Tiny Team for you. This includes making the public pages you turn on available to anyone, and creating previews and converted copies of images and videos. The license ends when your content is deleted from Tiny Team, except for copies that remain for a limited time in backups and logs, or that we must keep by law. We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.

You're responsible for what you put in. You confirm that you have the right to upload, enter and share your content, and to have us process it for you.

Public content you choose to publish

Everything else in your workspace is meant only for signed-in members of your organization, according to their roles. These things are public by design:

ContentWho can see it
Careers page and job posts (HR)Anyone who has the link, once someone in your organization with access to hiring turns on the careers page and publishes a job as public. They show your organization's name, logo, about, mission and values, and each job's details.
Short links (Links)Anyone who opens a short link is sent on to its destination. If you set a password, it is asked for first.
Images in Document Spaces pagesImages you add to a page are stored at web addresses that open without signing in. Anyone who has an image's address can open it, even when the page itself is visible only to your members.

Only publish what you are comfortable with anyone seeing.

Backups, export and closing your workspace

  • Keep your own copies. Tiny Team is not a backup service. Keep your own copies of records and files that matter to you. You can download individual files, such as Media Library items and attachments, from the app.
  • Deleting things. Items you delete from the Media Library or from Links go to Trash, where you can restore them for 30 days. Document Spaces pages are deleted at once. Copies of deleted files and records can remain for a limited time in our storage's version history, backups and logs.
  • Locked modules keep their data. When a module locks, nothing in it is deleted. We don't currently delete inactive workspaces automatically.
  • Export and closure on request. There is no self-service export or workspace deletion yet. An admin can email support@tinyteam.io to ask for an export of the organization's data, in a common machine-readable format such as CSV or JSON, or to close the workspace and delete its data. We do this within 30 days. After closing, we keep only the accounting and tax records the law requires (for up to 10 years), the records of what your organization bought and of our support sessions in its workspace, which we keep so that purchases and staff access stay accountable, and copies that remain for a limited time in backups and logs.

Personal data in your workspace

Your organization is in charge. For the personal data your organization puts into Tiny Team about its people, job candidates and others (profiles, HR records, documents, files, uploads, links, job applications and the click data recorded for its short links), your organization is the controller under the GDPR. We process that data on its behalf, to provide Tiny Team as your organization sets it up and uses it.

What your organization is responsible for:

  • having a lawful basis for the data it collects and for how it uses it
  • telling its people and job candidates how their data is used. The application form doesn't show a privacy notice, so include or link yours in each job description.
  • deciding what to collect. Custom fields and notes can hold anything, so don't record special categories of data, such as health information, unless the law allows it and you need it.
  • answering requests from its people and candidates about their data

What we do:

  • We use the data only to provide, secure and support Tiny Team for your organization. We don't use it for our own purposes, sell it or use it for advertising.
  • We keep it confidential, and everyone who works on Tiny Team for us and can access it is bound to keep it confidential too. We look at your workspace only to give support your organization asks for, to carry out its requests (such as a refund, an export or closing the workspace), to investigate abuse or a security problem, or to comply with the law. To see the workspace as one of its members does, we use a support session that lasts at most 30 minutes, records the reason for it and logs each request made in it. Our admin tools also show us account details, such as members' names, contact details and employment fields, and the modules and allowances set up for your organization. We use them only for the same reasons.
  • We protect the data with appropriate technical and organizational measures. No system is perfectly secure.
  • We use the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy to host and run Tiny Team, for example Amazon Web Services, and we keep that list up to date. Where a provider is outside the European Economic Area, we use the safeguards described there.
  • We help your organization answer requests from its people, for example when someone asks for a copy of data they can't see in the app.
  • If a security incident affects personal data in your workspace, we tell your organization's admins without undue delay.
  • When your organization closes its workspace, we delete its data, give it an export, or both, as it chooses, as described in Your data and content.

If you are a member or a job candidate, please contact your organization first about your data. If you write to us, we will pass your request on to the organization or help it respond.

Where we are in charge. For account and sign-in data, purchase and trial records, the emails we send for our own purposes (sign-in links, welcome emails, invitations and account notices), security logs and records of support sessions, support emails and our website, we are the controller. Our Privacy Policy explains that processing.

Acceptable use

You are responsible for how your organization and its members use Tiny Team. Don't use Tiny Team to:

  • break the law or other people's rights
  • upload, store or share illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, which we report to the authorities
  • share intimate images of someone without their consent
  • spread malware, phishing pages or other content meant to deceive or cause harm
  • infringe someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights
  • harass or threaten people, incite hatred or violence, or reveal someone's private information without a lawful reason
  • send spam or other unsolicited bulk messages
  • collect or keep data about people without a lawful basis

And don't:

  • try to get around Tiny Team's security, access controls, allowances or module locks, or help others do so
  • access, or try to access, another organization's data
  • attack, overload or probe Tiny Team or our website. If you find a security problem, please tell us at support@tinyteam.io.
  • copy, decompile or reverse engineer Tiny Team, except as far as the law allows
  • pretend to be us, or to speak for Tiny Team

Links sends people wherever your short links point, so it must never be used to deceive them. Don't create short links that:

  • lead to phishing pages, malware, scams or other illegal content
  • hide or disguise where they go in order to mislead people, for example by imitating another brand or a trusted address
  • are sent in spam or other unsolicited bulk messages

Password-protected links follow the same rules. Only connect domains that you own or are allowed to use. When you connect a domain, its name appears in public Certificate Transparency logs, as it does for any website with an HTTPS certificate. We don't check link destinations in advance, so we rely on you and on reports from others.

Careers pages and job posts

Job posts must be real, accurate and lawful. Don't post jobs that discriminate unlawfully, for example on grounds of sex, age, race or ethnic origin, religion, disability or sexual orientation, and don't use job posts to collect people's data for any other purpose. Ask candidates only for what you need, and give them the information the law requires about how you handle their application.

HR records

Tiny Team doesn't run payroll and doesn't give legal, tax or employment advice. Your organization is responsible for following employment and data protection law in how it uses the HR features, and for checking results such as leave balances before relying on them.

What we do if the rules are broken

We don't monitor what organizations put into Tiny Team. We look at particular content only when someone reports it, when the law requires it, when we need to investigate abuse or a security problem, or when you ask us for help with it. If content or a short link breaks these rules, we may remove it or turn it off and limit the features involved, as described in Reporting illegal content and Suspending or ending access.

Reporting illegal content

Our contact point for users and for authorities, including under the EU Digital Services Act, is support@tinyteam.io. You can write to us in English or Portuguese.

To report content that Tiny Team hosts for one of our customers, such as a short link, a careers page, a job post or an image, email us:

  • the exact short link, or the full web address of the page or image
  • why you believe the content is illegal or breaks these Terms
  • your name and email address (you may leave these out if you are reporting child sexual abuse material)
  • a statement that you believe, in good faith, that the information in your report is accurate and complete

What happens next:

  1. We confirm that we have received your report.
  2. A person reviews it promptly and carefully. We don't use automated tools to decide on reports.
  3. If the content is illegal or breaks these Terms, we remove it or disable access to it, for example by turning off the short link. We tell you what we decided.
  4. We tell the organization responsible, by email to its admins, what we did, why, and how it can contest our decision.
  5. Either of you can reply to ask us to look at the decision again. You can also go to court.

If an organization's short links or other content are used for abuse repeatedly, we may turn off that feature for the organization (see Suspending or ending access). If content suggests a criminal offence that threatens someone's life or safety, we inform the authorities.

Third-party services

Some parts of Tiny Team rely on other companies, under their own terms:

  • Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, Google's terms and privacy policy apply to your Google account.
  • Polar. Purchases go through Polar's hosted checkout, under Polar's Buyer Terms and privacy policy.
  • Your domains. If you connect a domain to Links, you stay responsible for its registration and DNS records. If they change or lapse, your short links on that domain may stop working.
  • Other websites. Short links, job posts and pages can point to other websites, and our blog links to some. We are not responsible for the content of other websites. Videos you embed in Document Spaces pages are served by the sites they come from, under those sites' terms.

Our website and free tools

Free tools. Our free tools are calculators and generators, for example salary, payroll tax and PTO calculators, and job description and offer letter generators. They need no account and run in your browser; what you type into them isn't sent to us. Their results are estimates and starting points, based on what you enter and on simplified assumptions. They are not legal, tax, payroll or financial advice: check the results, and have generated documents reviewed, before you rely on them. We may change, limit or remove any tool at any time. Please don't automate the tools. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Using our website. When you use our website, please don't:

  • use it to break the law or other people's rights
  • attack, overload or probe it, or try to get around its security
  • scrape it in a way that burdens our servers
  • pretend to be us or to speak for Tiny Team

Our blog and guides are general information. We try to keep them accurate, but laws, products and prices change, so check before you rely on them. What we say about other companies' products reflects what we found when we wrote about them.

Availability and support

We work to keep Tiny Team running and your data safe, but we can't promise that it will always be available without interruption, for example during maintenance or an outage at one of our service providers.

Support is by email at support@tinyteam.io, in English. We answer as soon as we can, but we don't promise fixed response times.

Intellectual property

The Tiny Team name and logo, the Tiny Team software and the text, images, videos and design of our website belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. Tiny Team includes open-source components, which come under their own licenses. You may quote short parts of our articles with a link to the source. Please don't republish whole articles, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, without asking us first.

Other product names on our website are trademarks of their owners. Mentioning them doesn't mean their owners endorse Tiny Team.

Your content stays yours (see Your data and content). If you send us feedback or suggestions, you give us a free, non-exclusive, permanent license to use them to improve Tiny Team. You don't give up any rights in them.

Changes to Tiny Team and to these Terms

Changes to Tiny Team

We keep developing Tiny Team. We may add, change or remove features for a valid reason: to fix security problems, to follow the law, because one of our service providers changes or stops its service, or to improve the product. Such changes never cost you anything extra, and we won't put features you have paid for behind a new payment.

If we have to change a module your organization has bought in a way that affects your access to it or your use of it more than in a minor way, for example by removing one of its main features or lowering its allowances, we tell your admins by email, reasonably in advance, what will change and when, unless security or the law requires us to act sooner. If you are a consumer, you can then end the contract for that module free of charge within 30 days of our email or of the change, whichever is later, and get the refund Decreto-Lei 84/2021 provides. Allowances only go down as described in Usage allowances and fair use.

If we close a module or Tiny Team as a whole, we tell organization admins by email at least 90 days in advance, and we give your organization an export of its data if an admin asks for one before the closing date. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for a valid reason, such as new features, changes in the law or security needs, and we change the date at the top when we do. Before a material change takes effect, we announce it on our website and email organization admins at least 30 days in advance. If your organization doesn't agree, it can stop using Tiny Team and ask us for an export of its data.

Changes never take away lifetime access your organization has already bought. For the website and the free tools, the version of these Terms in force when you use them applies.

Suspending or ending access

You can stop at any time. Your organization can stop using Tiny Team whenever it likes. To close the workspace and delete its data, an admin emails us (see Your data and content). Members can stop using Tiny Team at any time; to have their account deleted, they ask an admin of their organization or write to us.

When we may suspend or end access. We may suspend or end your organization's access to a feature, a module or the whole workspace, or a member's account, only if:

  • you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, for example by creating phishing or malware short links, publishing illegal content or attacking Tiny Team
  • a purchase is refunded or charged back (for the module concerned)
  • the law or a competent authority requires it

Unless it is urgent or the law forbids it, we will first tell your admins by email what we plan to do and why, and give you a chance to respond or put things right. We keep any suspension as narrow as we reasonably can, for example by turning off one short link rather than the whole module.

Your data after access ends. Ending access doesn't delete your data straight away. An admin can still ask us for an export or for deletion, as described in Your data and content, unless the law prevents it or the data is content we had to remove.

Liability

Without limit. We are liable without limit for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, by us or by people acting for us, for death, personal injury or harm to health, and wherever else the law doesn't allow liability to be limited.

Slight negligence. Otherwise, if we breach our contract with you through slight negligence, we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential to it (one that must be fulfilled for Tiny Team to work as agreed and that you can reasonably rely on), and only for damage that was typical and foreseeable when the contract was made.

Consumers. This section does not limit your statutory rights, including the legal guarantee of conformity described above and your right to compensation for damage caused by defects.

Business customers. In the case of slight negligence, our total liability is limited to the amount your organization paid for the module or modules affected, and we are not liable for lost profits or other indirect losses, as far as the law allows.

Tools, not advice. Tiny Team and our free tools help you organize work and do calculations. They don't give legal, employment, tax or financial advice. Check leave balances, calculator results and generated documents before you rely on them, and keep your own copies of records that matter to you.

Governing law and courts

These Terms, and any contract made under them, are governed by Portuguese law.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of Portugal or of the country where you live.

If you are a business customer, the courts of Porto, Portugal, have exclusive jurisdiction.

Complaints and dispute resolution

If you are unhappy with anything, please write to support@tinyteam.io first, so we can try to put it right.

Complaints book. You can also complain through the Portuguese electronic complaints book, the Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico. We reply to complaints made there within 15 working days.
