Before and after

What changes with Document Spaces

  1. From scattered notes to one home

Policies, how-tos and onboarding notes stop living in chat threads and personal files. Each topic gets a space your team can open.

  2. From one long doc to a clear structure

Split big documents into pages and sub-pages. Drag them into order in the sidebar, and use breadcrumbs to find your way back up.

  3. From repeating yourself to pointing to the page

Write the process once, with screenshots, tables and code samples. Next time someone asks, send them to the page.

Features

What's inside Document Spaces

  • Spaces for each topic

Create a space per team, project or topic, like Handbook, Support or Engineering. Give it a name and a short description. Each space card shows how many pages it holds.

  • Nested pages you can drag

Add pages and sub-pages from the sidebar. Drag them to reorder or move them under another page. Breadcrumbs show where you are.

  • A clean rich text editor

Four heading levels, bullet and numbered lists, quotes, dividers, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough and inline code. Type / to insert a block.

  • Text colors and highlights

Pick from nine text colors and nine highlight colors to flag warnings, owners or key steps.

  • Tables and code blocks

Insert tables with a header row, resize columns, and add or remove rows and columns in place. Code blocks get syntax highlighting.

  • Images and YouTube videos

Upload images, like screenshots, with alt text. Embed a YouTube video by pasting its youtube.com link.

  • Links to pages and websites

Select text and link it to a website, or to another page in your wiki by pasting that page's address.

  • Saves as you type

Titles and content save automatically a moment after you stop typing. A live word and character count sits in the corner.

Workflow

How a team uses Document Spaces

  1. Create a space

Give it a name and a short description, like "Company handbook" or "Support playbook".

  2. Add pages and sub-pages

Use the + in the sidebar to add a page, or a sub-page under any page. Drag pages to set the order and nesting that suits your team.

  3. Write and format

Type / for headings, images, videos and dividers. Select text for links, lists, quotes, colors, code blocks and tables. It saves as you go.

  4. Keep it current

Edit the page when the process changes. Page details show when it was created and last modified.

Who it's for

Built for small teams like yours

  • Founders doing ops themselves

Write the handbook, the expense rules and the "how we work" page once. Point new people to it instead of repeating yourself.

  • The first HR or ops hire

Put policies, onboarding steps and who-to-ask lists in one space that new hires can browse from day one.

  • Team leads with know-how to share

Support, marketing and engineering leads keep playbooks, runbooks and code snippets in a space for their team, with tables and highlighted code.
